Mirza Fakhrul received treatment at the Supreme Versular and International Clinic in Singapore. His wife Rahat Ara Begum was treated at Singapore International University Hospital. They stayed there for a week.
In 2015, when Mirza Fakhrul was incarcerated, he was diagnosed with a block in the internal carotid artery of his neck. After his release, he went to Singapore for treatment. Since then he has to go there every year for treatment (follow-up).
