Italy’s Coast Guard said that more than a thousand immigration candidates floating in different boats in the sea are in danger. In a statement, the country’s Coast Guard said that more than a thousand people are in danger. Efforts are underway to rescue them.
The governor of the southern Italian region of Calabria, Roberto Aciuto, said 1,300 migrants had been identified as being in danger on various boats.
Coast Guard members are trying to rescue about 500 immigration candidates from one of the boats. Also 800 immigration candidates are floating from several other boats.
The Coast Guard also said that data collected from its drones and aircraft indicated that more than 20 boats were floating in the sea bound for Italy.
