After many struggles, we have returned the right to vote to the people. People voted for Awami League, we won the 2008 elections. In 2014 and 2018 elections, I came to the government after being elected by people’s vote.
Sheikh Hasina said, we have been able to develop Bangladesh today because we have been in power for a long time. Where the father of the nation left a less developed country, today’s Bangladesh has attained the status of a developing country. We have to move forward by realizing this dignity. In 2041, Bangladesh of tomorrow will be a developed prosperous smart Bangladesh.
she said that the people of the country are aware of the vote. If someone steals votes, the people of this country will not accept it. You remember, on February 15, 1996, BNP held an election in power, Khaleda Zia declared herself Prime Minister by stealing people’s votes. But the people did not accept it. Khaleda Zia was forced to resign after only a month and a half, as a result of popular agitation. Vote thieves are never accepted by the people.
